"Driving pop anthem" (Complex UK) 'Broke' is my latest single diving into the aftermath of grief. This song is extremely personal for me. It has that light bulb moment when you realise "I'm not okay, I have lost myself". We all get hurt from people disappearing from our lives from a lover's heartbreak to a death. As the lyrics are emotionally raw I wanted the production to be energetic and heart thumping to encourage others to voice their hurt because you realise everyone is grieving something or someone and that unity can heal.
